Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family,

Psalm 134:1-3 “Behold, bless the Lord, all you servants of the Lord, who by night stand in the house of the Lord! 2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord. 3 The Lord who made heaven and earth bless you from Zion!” Of all the characters in the Bible, I think the ones I identify most strongly with are the temple Levites. Living in the parsonage next door to the church most of my life means I’m the first one there. I unlock the doors, turn on the lights, check the heat and generally just see if the building is ready for worship. Then, at night, if someone leaves a light on at church, one of us comes back over to turn it off and again makes sure the building is secure. Psalm 134 is a blessing for the night-shift Levites. They had to keep the altar-fire burning – all the time. They made sure there was wood ready for the morning sacrifice. They cleaned up after the sacrifices of the day. They made sure there was oil ready for the lamps. They carried water for the lavers and cleaned out the crud from the day. Day after day, month after month. What a privilege! What a responsibility.

I praise the Lord for His good work among us on this past Lord’s Day.  The choir and Beth and Roberta are commended for a beautiful musical ministry to us. Last evening we enjoyed a carol sing for our evening service.

Tomorrow, December 19th, is Senior Lunch and Bible study. Bring a favorite Christmas memory to share. We will order off the menu at noon.

Many among us are struggling with a virus or cold or whatever. Pray especially that our school children stay strong through Thursday evening. Pray for our Congregation to be well!

This week we have Awana Clubs and Bible study as normal. We will not have Awana or Wednesday Bible study on December 27th or January 3rd.

Trinity Baptist School is presenting a fun program on Thursday, December 21st at 6:30 p.m. All 29 students will be involved one way or another. We will receive an offering that evening as a Christmas bonus to our teaching staff. We appreciate the hard work they put in. It shows up in the lives of our families.

I’ll see you in church!

Embracing Truth. Equipping Saints.
