Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, “When You said, ‘Seek My face,’ My heart said to You, ‘Your face, Lord, I will seek.'” Psalm 27:8 When a momma wants to speak into the heart of young child, she may say to her, “Look at me, put your eyes right here.” God is looking at you today. And He wants you to look at His face that you might see His heart. David responded as we ought – “Your face, Lord, I will seek.”
Tomorrow is the first Saturday of the month and so Men’s Prayer breakfast. If you are coming or have signed up and are not coming, let me know as soon as possible today so I may be prepared. If you have not attended in the past, this is for men and boys. We eat at 8:00 a.m. in the church basement. Our conversation turns to prayer after breakfast. Most of us pray aloud, but it is not required. We are finished before 9:30 a.m. and on with our Saturday’s work.
Sunday is Lord’s Table Sunday. We will be considering the worship of the widow whose giving was seen by Jesus at the end of Mark 12. The clocks set back 1 hour on Sunday morning. If Sunday School is not in your habit, your excuse of it being too early is gone for this week. Adults studies are on parenting or the book of Galatians. Young people who attend Sunday School regularly get a thorough walk through the Bible before they graduate from high school.
If you have teenagers in your home or are interested in working with teens at Trinity Baptist, come to a short meeting in the front of the auditorium immediately after the morning service this Sunday. Perhaps bring your calendar so dates can be set for upcoming activities.
Pray for the country of Bolivia and the safety of our missionary. Pray for those who are sick or hurting. Pray for a family who contacted us today about coming to church on Sunday.
Serve the Lord. Do what is right and good. I love you.
Embracing Truth, Pastor
