Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family: Jesus sent the twelve to preach the gospel of the kingdom to Israel. As He instructs them concerning their commission, three times in Matthew 10 Jesus said, “Do not fear.” His reasoning? God knows and God cares about our service for Him. Matthew 10:29-31 Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. 30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. Isn’t that great? God thinks I am more important than birds! I need to think today like what I have to do is more important than what the birds are doing – merely eating, sleeping, taking care of themselves.
Beth has put bulletins for Sunday, March 22nd in the family boxes in the back of the auditorium. You are welcome to come by the church to pick them up or to drop off your regular giving. The building will be open in the mornings, including Saturday. And if the doors are locked and you don’t have a key, you all know where we live!
Also, think about scheduling some ministry time into your new schedule. With no sports to watch or trips to take, perhaps you are looking for something creative to do. Perhaps your family might take on a painting project at church. Or you could come in to the church and do a “deep clean” of part of the building. As the weather improves, there will be out door projects. We cannot schedule a “work day” and have multiple families here, but we can come in a family or two at a time and take on needed projects.
Another ministry opportunity is our shut ins. Right now, we cannot visit nursing facilities. There are others though that perhaps could use something done or an errand run. Check in with them or write them a card. On the other side of that coin, if you need something, please let me know and I’ll get the word out.
The attached photo of Pastor Shaeffer was taken while he was teaching a class yesterday. Our school ministry is on-going. Good things are being accomplished.
Remember to tune in to Sunday’s service on facebook at 10a on the Trinity Baptist Church page. A study guide will be attached to tomorrow’s email.
