Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Proverbs 18:1 “A man who isolates himself seeks his own desire; he rages against all wise judgment.” Do you find yourself not wanting to listen to the ideas or plans of others? You know what you want and you don’t want anyone else to mess with it. It is selfish and unwise to continually remove yourself from the thinking and ideas of others. Those who will not listen, often do not listen to God. Isolation from people and God is not a good thing.
Missionary Lloyd Peace and his son Lucas will be at Trinity Baptist on Sunday, August 1st. They will be giving us a report that morning. They would like a place to stay on Friday and Saturday nights, July 30th and 31st, so they can attend the fly-in at EAA. A hotel room is unobtainable that weekend and my house is going to be full. Is there anyone who would be able to house these two for 2 nights? (It’s a very busy weekend because it is also our Kohler fundraiser.)
We attended Bible study and prayer time with Zeke’s family at their church on Wednesday night. This is our 3rd trip to Great Falls so we are beginning to get to know some of the people at church. It was refreshing to hear good theology and to pray with godly men.
We hear you got rain! Praise God! We don’t have farmers in our church at this time. I remember as a child that rain was a regular prayer request during the summer months. Perhaps we would do well to ask God for rain rather than depend upon the city’s wells.
Pastor Shaeffer is your preacher on Sunday morning and evening. Pastor Charlie is taking my Sunday School class. Pray for the Spirit to use them to teach and convict you. I know you will be spiritually fed if you have open ears.
Embracing Truth, Pastor
