Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family,

Psalm 103:1-5 Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name! 2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: 3 Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, 4 Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, 5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

I hope you have had a good week. This coming Lord’s Day is fairly “normal.” We have our two adult Sunday School classes: “Stewardship” and “OT in the NT” at 8:45 a.m. I will be preaching from Mark 14:1-11 on “Judas and A Woman” in the morning service at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Shaeffer is our Sunday evening preacher. I believe he is in Ezra at 6:30 p.m. We will have both adult and children’s choir practices at 5:00 p.m. Both groups are working on Christmas music.

Next Tuesday, November 21st, is our next Senior Lunch Bible Study at Rolling Meadows.

Next Wednesday, the evening before Thanksgiving, we will not have our regular Bible study nor Awana Clubs. However, there will be a Thanksgiving Service at 7:00 p.m. that evening led by Pastor Charlie and Devin Scherck. Come for a sweet time of singing and the Word. Give thanks with God’s people.

Pray for the Shaeffers today and tomorrow as they travel to and from Iowa. They are going out to see Levi play basketball. Continue to pray for Joe C’s nephew AJ. AJ did not have surgery on Monday, instead they decided to put him on blood thinners. If he needs to stay on these, it will hinder him from sports – hard news for a 16 year old. Continue to pray for Kathy R. Her daughter’s wedding is a week from Saturday and then treatments for her cancer will resume the following week.

I have told Lin and our staff recently that I am flattered by the Lord’s choice in using us. We have many, many different people we minister to every week in many different ways at Trinity Baptist. How blessed it is to be used by God.

Today is Day 41 for the hostages of Hamas. Remember when the news counted the days of our Iranian Hostages back in the 70’s? Why do I not hear the media talking about the days of this horror? Pray for safety and peace in this ugly world.

On the other hand, enjoy the many blessings of the Lord to you this day. Embrace the sunshine and the Son!

Embracing Truth. Equipping Saints.

Pastor
