Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 40:1-3 “I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined to me, and heard my cry. 2 He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps. 3 He has put a new song in my mouth— Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, and will trust in the Lord.”

I hope you can identify with the testimony of the psalmist today. May the LORD direct our steps and may His praise come from our mouth.

Dave R called me yesterday to say that he had just been released from the hospital. He’d been there since Sunday. He came down with a terrible virus and sounded terrible. Pray for his healing and strength as he deals with all the matters following Kathy’s home-going.

Dave was telling me about different ones who were drawn to Christ because of Saturday’s memorial service. Praise God. Pray for those who have been touched that God would continue to draw them to Himself and that they would seek good counsel.

We learned on Sunday that Tim S’s mom – Audrey – passed away. Pray for comfort for Tim and Lisa and for strength as they deal with the many details. Pray for their care of Lisa’s mom too.

Pray for Roger B. He was in ICU last I knew. Pray for Carolyn O and Cecil H as they recover from surgery. Pray for someone who is struggling with addiction.

We have chapel at Trinity Baptist School this morning and then Awana tonight. Pray for the effective ministry of God’s Word to the young people He has brought to us.

Souped Up! is tomorrow – February 1st. I’m looking forward to a fun day of cooking. Beth tells me that our planned amounts of a couple of soups are already “sold out.” We will work hard to make sure there is soup for those who come by tomorrow, but no promises for particular varieties unless you have turned in an order. We will be selling soup at the front door of the church from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. for $12 per quart.

Teen bible study is tonight and Acts 29 – the young adult study – is at Braker’s tomorrow night at 7:00 p.m. There will be no Men’s Prayer breakfast on the 1st Saturday this month because I am going to attend the community No Regrets conference.

We have Lord’s Table this Sunday morning.

Pray for one another. Pray for the hostages of Hamas – day 116. Pray for the persecuted church.

Embracing Truth. Equipping Saints.

Pastor
