Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family: “But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: ‘Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine.’ ” Isaiah 43:1
“Fear not! You are mine!” What an awesome declaration from our Omnipotent God to His own – to me! So why do we fear? The answers may be many but are really distilled down to one – we don’t trust God. We don’t really think God has His act together and is in complete control of all the variables of our life. So we fear. Ultimately, fear is self-idolatry for we are putting ourselves in the way of God.
God is doing some visible and wonderful things at Trinity Baptist. Among these wonderful things is Awana. We are ending a great Awana year tomorrow evening. A Taco Buffett begins at 5:30p. Council Time and Awards will be in the church auditorium at 6:30p. Even if your family has no clubbers, come for the fellowship, the preaching of the Word of God, and to rejoice with the children.
The Youth have an All-Nighter on Friday. See Tony Braker for details. Saturday morning is Men’s Prayer Breakfast at church at 8a. Sign up tomorrow night or let me know by Friday afternoon so I can be prepared.
Sunday is Lord’s Table. Examine yourself. Are you walking in an imitation of Jesus? What parts of you are not like Jesus? Prepare yourself for the Lord’s Day.
