This quote made reminded me of last Sunday’s sermon. “Living in a fallen world, everything around us seems to work against developing intimacy with Him. Jam packed schedules, financial pressures, and competing values try to distract us from our first love, the Lord Jesus Himself.” E C Haskell
Sunday evening we overwhelmingly approved borrowing funds necessary to move forward on redoing our parking lot and auditorium roof. This fall we are going to focus on the roof portion. I have invited a contractor to Sunday afternoon’s Men’s Meeting so he can answer any questions we might have. Pray for wisdom for our church as we move forward on these projects.
I am told that Kimberly Struska is going to begin another round of chemo treatments. The likely side effects include fatigue. Pray for her continual migraine pain to go away and for grace and strength. Pray for God to be glorified.
This Lord’s Day we will talk about Paul’s “chains in Christ” from Philippians 1:12-18.
Embracing Truth,
Pastor
