Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 121:1-2 “I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? 2 My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.” As I have thought this morning on my viewing of our nation’s State of the Union address, I am filled with confidence only because I know who is really in charge. And it is no one who was seen last night. When enemies threaten to come down upon us from all sides, know that our help comes from the Lord.
I am healing and stronger every day. I am 6 days from surgery. A Kiwanis friend asked me if it was a minor surgery. I reminded him that “minor” surgery is when it happens to someone else. I continue to thank you for your prayers. My God is very good to me.
We are ready for Souped Up! Ingredients have been purchased, the meats have been roasted, and orders have been collected. I guarantee that if you wait the end of the day or on Sunday to buy soup that your choices will be very limited. So come early tomorrow and enjoy a heart-warming dinner at home tomorrow night.
Pray that God’s Word speaks to hearts in Awana tonight. Pray that we are strengthened as a church through the Bible study and prayer time at the parsonage tonight. Pray that our school is strengthened financially and spiritually through our fund raiser tomorrow. Pray that we be lights to our world.
