Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family: It’s Friday! For me it means I have a two day break from teaching school. For me it means I go grocery shopping – a therapeutic activity. But best of all, Friday means my heart is greatly directed towards the Lord’s Day. My thoughts on Friday-Saturday are often occupied by choosing right words for Sunday – even when I am not at my desk.
This Lord’s Day takes us again to a favorite story. We are going to tell the Jesus’ Story of the Wild Man of Gadara from Mark 5. It’s a story of radical conversion. Oh, that we all might be radically converted from who we are to Who Jesus is!
Missionary Sue Kallal will be giving her report on her ministry in Bledsoe, KY during our Sunday School hour and also be challenging us during the devotions after church dinner. She is planning to semi-retire this fall and will also share with us her hopes for her future.
Sunday is the last Sunday of the month and you know what that means. It’s Church Dinner Day! So bring a dish to share and join our potluck meal and conversation after the morning service. We begin eating soon after the closing prayer and are often on our way home around 12:30p.
Members of Team Mexico 2019 should gather at the Shaeffer home at 5p on Sunday for the second of their team building meetings. Letters and passports are due. We will be taking a second offering for this team the first Sundays of April and May.
Enjoy the goodness of God this day.
Embracing Truth, Pastor
