Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family: As much as I grumped through the dark and dreary winter months, I ought to rejoice and praise God for the sunshine and delight of these days! I praise the Lord for His sustaining power – all the balances and controls He has in place to keep this old world from falling apart. I rejoice and give God the glory for green plants! Our yard is looking good (Lin has done a lot of weeding), and the buds we see promise great color in the coming weeks.
This Lord’s Day we will look at the story Jesus tells about the Good Samaritan. It is time again to ask ourselves, “Am I a good neighbor?” On Sunday evening Pastor Shaeffer is preaching. I think he is beginning a walk through the book of Luke.
We invite the men of the church to join us for a Men’s Meeting at 5p this Sunday. We will review reports from several committees including the Finance Committee’s recommended general fund budget for 2019-2020. We are preparing for our annual meeting on July 7.
Pray that we might use the opportunities God gives us to be a witness for Him. Pray that our church might be rightly aligned with God’s Word. Pray that we might have discernment in confusing times.
Embracing Truth, Pastor
