Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Do you evert imagine the demise of someone who is doing you wrong? Do you ever plan what you might say or do if you came face to face with your enemy? I do and we are not alone. David did too. David pours out his frustration with the evil people do to God. We should do the same. We need to trust God that He will do what is right. Psalm 52:1-7 Why do you boast in evil, O mighty man? The goodness of God endures continually. 2 Your tongue devises destruction, Like a sharp razor, working deceitfully. 3 You love evil more than good, Lying rather than speaking righteousness. Selah 4 You love all devouring words, You deceitful tongue. 5 God shall likewise destroy you forever; He shall take you away, and pluck you out of your dwelling place, And uproot you from the land of the living. Selah 6 The righteous also shall see and fear, And shall laugh at him, saying, 7 “Here is the man who did not make God his strength, But trusted in the abundance of his riches, And strengthened himself in his wickedness.”
Sarah has told me that the ladies of the church have been invited to a shower for Brittany that will be held at the parsonage on Saturday, January 21st at 10:00 a.m. So she and Beth may plan, they need an RSVP ASAP! Especially if you plan to come, please email Sarah at sarah.leeds@trinityfdl.net or call/text her at 920-539-3728 immediately. If you have any questions, contact Sarah or Beth.
We have a Building/Grounds Committee meeting tomorrow morning at 8:00 a.m. and a Finance Committee meeting after church Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m.
Senior Lunch and Bible study is this coming Tuesday, January 17, 2023. We meet at Rolling Meadows at noon and order off the menu. Then after we eat we will continue our study in Colossians. If you are over 50, come for a good time of fellowship and edification.
We have a limited-access missionary in Sunday School and our evening service this week. I look forward to hearing their ministry plans. I am preaching from Lamentations 3 this Sunday – “Grief is Personal.”
Pray for one another. Pray for powerful presentations of God’s Word throughout our church ministries. Pray for our missionaries. Pray for the war to end in Ukraine and the help ministries of our Rebekah F in that place. Pray that God might use you to bless someone today.
