April 28, 2023
Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Ephesians 5:16 “Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” I told you at the beginning of April that this month always seems to fly by. Maybe because it’s my birthday month, maybe because winter has finally lost its chokehold, maybe because the sun is now rising when I get up, or maybe because we can see the end of school year activities coming – all I know is I’d like two Aprils. We could cancel February or March to make up for it. The past two weeks have been a whirlwind for me personally. I’ve been tempted to whine and feel sorry for myself. But what else should I expect? I live in a broken world with broken people. There is always another good thing that could be done. My job is to redeem – buy back – as many of this life’s moments as possible by glorifying our Eternal God in them. “Jesus, please help me to use my time wisely and to have the strength to occupy until you return.”
Terry and Denise Domstad will minister in adult/teen Sunday School and again in our after church dinner devotions. We supported them years ago and they are returning to Thailand to teach. I look forward to renewing this personal relationship. We will take a second offering again after the morning service.
Because we will have taken 2 second offerings in a row, we won’t take one next week after Lord’s Table.
The teens have a Movie Night tonight at Charlie & Brittany’s home at 5:30 p.m. Those in 6th grade through high school are welcome. If you have questions, contact Pastor Charlie.
Continue to pray for Tom and Marie. The antibiotics are winning against Tom’s infections. He has remained in ICU because they have not had a regular room open. Marie is doing well. They are both wishing Tom was home!
Sunday is Church Dinner Day! Next Wednesday, May 3rd, is Awana Awards Night! The banquet of Mac N Cheese will begin at 5:30 p.m. Awards will begin at 6:30 p.m. We have had a great year, so there are a lot of awards to be presented. Come and witness what is going on in this important ministry of our church.
Pray for one another. Redeem the time.
