Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family,

Psalm 143:5-6 “I remember the days of old; I meditate on all Your works; I muse on the work of Your hands. 6 I spread out my hands to You; My soul longs for You like a thirsty land. Selah” When I think about God, do I thirst for Him like dry ground takes in the rain?

Remember Missionaries Lloyd and Athena Peace today. Thy fly out of Des Moines at 3:00 p.m. today. They will be in Manaus, Amazonia, Brazil on Thursday and stay for a few days of business and shopping before they head upriver to their home. Athena was cleared to return by doctors. They said the object in her heart was calcification to be watched and not something that should stop her from returning to Brazil. Pray for their 4 children who are either working in the states or are in various levels of university training.

Awana returns to the Trinity Baptist calendar tomorrow evening, Wednesday, September 4th. We have clubs for those 2 years through high school. Club nights begin at 6:30 p.m. and are done at 8:00 p.m. We are looking forward to another great year. Pray for boys and girls to receive Christ and to grow in their knowledge and obedience of Him.

During our Awana year, our Wednesday evening study meets next door the church at the parsonage at 6:45 p.m. Van F is leading a study on the first half of the book of Daniel. Some of the very best Bible stories are found in these chapters. Come together to learn and pray.

Teen Bible study will meet at Charlie and Brittany’s new home on Thursday, September 5th at 7:00 p.m. And the Young Adult study – Acts 29 – will meet at the Braker’s home on Friday evening, also at 7:00 p.m.

This Saturday, September 7th, at 8:00 a.m. is our monthly Men’s Prayer Breakfast. We eat at 8:00 a.m. and are done by 9:30 a.m. Please sign up or let me know so food will be prepared.

Pray for the hurting. Some are hurting physically, others are hurting in their soul. Pray for enemies of truth and grace to be squashed. Pray for the Word of God to convict and lead us.

Embracing Truth. Equipping Saints.

Pastor
