Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, This morning in our Men’s Bible Study we walked through 1 Timothy 6. Verse 6 is instructive and convicting: “Now godliness with contentment is great gain.” Godliness and contentment are two character traits that every mature believer in Jesus Christ should demonstrate. Is my life godly – a holy, imitation of Jesus? Am I satisfied with the stuff and opportunities God has given me?

Tom M is finished with his antibiotic infusions! They removed the pic line to his heart after Monday’s treatment. He is still gaining strength, but I believe is ready to take on a new “normal.” Donna B says she will be in church Sunday. She will learn next Tuesday the results of her test of last week. Pray as this will determine what procedures are recommended.

Pray for Trinity Baptist School. After today we have 8 remaining calendar days. Teachers and students are counting down the last assignments. As re-enrollment forms are due at the end of this week, pray that God sends us the students for next year that we ought to have for His glory.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, May 10th, begins our summer mid-week Bible study schedule. I will be leading the adults in my continuing study of the book of Jeremiah. We will begin at chapter 19 this week. Charlie will be leading those going into 6th grade next fall through high school in a study of topics that apply to teens. Amber and Carolyn will be teaching children from 3 years through those going into 5th grade. We have a nursery on Wednesday for child care for those under 3 years. The evening begins at 7:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity to fellowship, learn, and pray with God’s people.

Our Sunday morning minister is missionary/trumpeter Don Shire. Don is a friend who has ministered at Trinity Baptist many times. He will challenge us with his skills, his testimony, and his burden for those in need around the world. We will take a second offering this week for Don Shire Ministries.

Pastor Shaeffer will lead the teen/adult Sunday School class this week in part 2 of a series on evangelism at 8:45 a.m. Charlie is our Sunday evening preacher. I believe he will be preaching from a psalm.

As we consider evangelism this month, who ought you be praying for? Who would Jesus have you speak to?

Embracing Truth. Equipping Saints. Pastor
