Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, As I considered the first day of this last week of winter and the first day of our 4th school quarter and the first Monday of daylight savings and the 11 hours and 51 minutes of daylight we will have today, my mind was drawn to Psalm 90 – Moses’ psalm giving us God’s perspective on time. The psalm ends with “Let Your work appear to Your servants, and Your glory to their children. 17 And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands for us; yes, establish the work of our hands. May we number our days and consider each one an opportunity to do God’s work for His glory.

I praise the Lord for a good Lord’s Day at Trinity Baptist. But then, this preacher always thinks the Lord’s Day is a good day.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, March 15, is Senior Lunch and Bible Study at Rolling Meadows at noon. I checked it out this morning and “corned beef and cabbage” is on their special list for tomorrow! I had it last year and it was great. After lunch, our topical Bible study will be “What does the Bible say about National Emergencies?”

Yesterday, our Outreach Committee met and approved a proposed mission budget for our Congregation to consider at our annual meeting in June. We are proposing that we reduce our monthly support to missionary Boisvert by half because of their move towards retirement and that we add missionaries Laase to France, Tingbani to Ghana, Wagner to Myanmar, and Smith to the “stans.” Details of this will be presented to the Congregation at our April 10th meeting and then the mission budget for 2022-2023 will be approved on June 26th. I praise the Lord for the increased to our mission fund that makes these additions possible. As missionaries come to our church and your heart is touched consider designating more to Trinity Baptist missions. Talk to me if you desire to be a member of the Outreach committee that makes these recommendations. And be at the Congregational meetings! (The world is run by those who show up!)
