Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family: We have only two more evenings of WANTED! – our 2019 VBS. We have had about 45 children the last two evenings and another 20 plus in 9th grade or adults who are working to make this happen. I praise the Lord for spiritual decision and godly memories being made this week.
Thursday through Saturday is Men’s Retreat. We will have as many as 23 for some meals and activities. Pray for safety and Christ-like conversations. This is a ripe opportunity for iron to sharpen iron. Charlie is preaching twice and I will preach once.
Jean Winkler’s brother George passed away last night. We have prayed for him off and on for a couple of years. He seemed to be in remission, but then a couple of weeks ago the cancer was discovered to have spread throughout his body. Pray for his family – especially Bev, his wife, and Jean. George knew the Lord.
Our Youth are going camping on Sunday-Tuesday.
We have Lord’s Table this week. Luke 19:10 says “For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” It’s the story of Zacchaeus. Oh, the wonder to know that Jesus wants to come to my house and stay with me!
Pray for God’s Word to be bigger than any of us. Pray for those who struggle with crippling habits. Pray for those who like Lot’s wife keep looking back at the world. Pray that we might be like Jesus.
