Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family: Vacation Bible School is over for another year. It’s always bittersweet to me. We do things in Bible School that don’t happen anywhere else in our ministry. We had about 60 here every night – 45 children. We had many excellent teachers/volunteers. We had new families – including some who were checking us out for Awana.
The funeral for George Meyer, Jean’s brother, is Saturday at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Plymouth. Visitation is from 10a to noon. The service is at noon. Pray for Jean and George’s family.
I get to preach 3 times on Sunday! In adult Bible study we will look at teachings concerning the Kingdom in Hebrews. In the morning service we will considering the repentance of Zacchaeus. In the evening preaching I am going to begin a series walk through the book of 1 Samuel.
Men’s Retreat begins this afternoon! Bring on the S’mores!
