Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 119:11 “Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You.” For many of us, we memorized this verse before we knew how to read. We must remind ourselves of the grand truths held in a familiar text. The psalmist had an agenda. He did not want to sin. To accomplish that goal, he memorized God’s Word. This cuts me. Do I hate my sin enough to take pains to memorize God’s Word?

Continue to pray for my cousin Paul who was in a snowmobile accident a week ago. He is out of ICU and is still working on pain management. They are removing tubes and hope to have him home in a hospital bed soon. Praise God for preserving Paul’s life.

Sam K. is asking that we might join him in praying for a health issue. Continue to pray also for Tony M. He is in the hospital yet. His leg wound is healing. They are giving him oxygen to help his body fight the affects of COVID.

Pray for wisdom and strength for me for this week. Souped Up! will be a busy Thursday. Come by before 6:00 p.m. and pick up your dinner!

I am looking forward to returning to the pulpit this Sunday morning. Although I do other work and other reading when I am not preparing for a Sunday morning sermon, there is something powerful about the task I have. My work does a work in me. May God be pleased to use me in His work.

Embracing Truth, Pastor
