Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family,
Psalm 92:1-4 “It is good to give thanks to the Lord, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; 2 To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning, and Your faithfulness every night, 3 On an instrument of ten strings, on the lute, and on the harp, with harmonious sound. 4 For You, Lord, have made me glad through Your work; I will triumph in the works of Your hands.”
Lin and I arrived home safely yesterday afternoon. God blessed us with pleasant days. Thank you to those who prayed for our travels. We were encouraged to know that spring is on its way. We have seen proof!
Tomorrow, Sunday, March 30th, Pastor Shaeffer is going to be preaching from Galatians 1 – “No Other Gospel.” This will be a great introduction to his next series and this great little book. Missionary Daniel Simonsen to Kenya will present his ministry during the teen/adult Sunday School hour. He will also bring us a challenge after church dinner. Yes, tomorrow is Church Dinner Day!
Have you voted? If not, please make plans to vote on Tuesday in this very important spring election. I cannot remember an election more important than this one. Pray that God moves many to the polls. If you have questions on an issue or candidate, pick up a copy of my sample ballot from the MOT tomorrow. I’ll be available to answer any questions.
Awana Grand Prix is this coming Wednesday, April 2nd. Once again there will be concessions available. The main entree is going to be Hot Dogs, Chili Dogs, etc. The main events will begin at Awana time, 6:30 p.m.
Missionary Tim S tells us of a young girl who was severely beaten by her brother because she attended a Christian retreat. Tim also asked us to pray for a young mom who was jailed for her faith. Tim paid her $2,000 fine for proselytizing. The KGB complained to the arresting officer that this crazy woman constantly talked about Jesus who she said sacrificed Himself to shed His blood for their sins. Continue to pray for the persecuted church in the ‘Stan countries. Continue also to pray for the persecuted church in occupied Ukraine, Gaza, Syria, Iran, China, India, Sudan, and Saudi Arabia.
Pray that the Word of God would be effective and that Jesus be glorified as we come together on this Lord’s Day.
Embracing Truth. Equipping Saints.
Pastor
