Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family,

Psalm 91:1-8 “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” 3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. 4 He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. 5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, 6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. 7 A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you. 8 Only with your eyes shall you look, and see the reward of the wicked.” Sometimes I have trouble reconciling this passage with the reality I witness in my life and in the lives of those I love. It is by faith that I rest in the truth that God is keeping score and He will set all things right in His time. And my consolation is knowing that I will understand the apparent inequities of this life much better some day.

A big “thank you” to those who prayed for our family during our travels. We had a joyous time together and were able to witness some of the grandeur of our Country. Through the Trinity Baptist Church fb page we were able to hear 2 services from each weekend we were gone. In addition, we attended church in Des Moines, IA both weeks. We were churched up!

Tomorrow, Tuesday, July 16th, is Senior Lunch Day. We will meet at Rolling Meadows after 11:30 a.m. and order at noon. Our study will take us to 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 – the vivd description of God’s snatching home of His Church. Come for the encouragement and the fellowship.

This Wednesday, July 17th, we will have our Bible studies for all ages at 7:00 p.m. We will not have an evening service on Sunday, July 21st or our Wednesday evening studies on July 24th because of VBS.

God’s Great Zoo is our Vacation Bible School theme. We have exciting evenings planned for 3 year olds through those going into 8th grade from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 21st through Thursday, July 25th. Missionaries Joel and Joanie Troester will be sharing a lesson from their African experiences during each night’s opening. Invite your neighbors. Encourage your grandchildren. Pray for children to be saved and edified.

The Troesters will be here Sunday morning too. They will give a report of their ministry including a recent trip to participate in a graduation in Mozambique this spring. Joel will be our Sunday morning preacher.

Pray for Trinity Baptist School. Families have talked with Pastor Shaeffer about new students. Pray that we might have the students God would want us to have. Pray for wisdom and skill for our staff in working with new students and families.

Embracing Truth. Equipping Saints.

Pastor
