Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family. First, I want to rejoice with you about the success of Souped Up! We sent out about 80 dinners at lunch time, made about 40 gallons of soup, had a busy gym for a couple of hours at dinner time, and will profit over $1,000 towards the TBS fundraising efforts….
Teens are invited to attend a Progressive Supper this Saturday evening, December 17, 2011 at 4p. They will be having an appetizer, soup, main course, and dessert. Everyone should bring a wrapped “white elephant” gift for an exchange. Questions? Call or write Pastor Rory at rmartin@trinityfdl.net or 920-747-0317.
This Lord’s Day our adult Bible study teacher’s will be in Ephesians 3:13-21 – a second prayer of Paul’s for the Ephesians. I will be in James for the second in our new series called “Faith that Works.” We have Men’s and Ladies’ Meetings at 5:30p and Lord’s Table at our 6:30p service.
Please pray for Curt Carter and his family. We had been praying for Curt’s step-dad because of his declining health. Curt’s step-dad passed away yesterday. Curt and Sue also learned last night that Curt’s brother Brad had died recently. Pray for grace and strength for Curt and his family. Pray for wisdom for the Carters as they respond to the opportunities these deaths might bring them.
As you all probably know by now, When EBM closed their doors, we were in East Africa teaching. This verse was demonstrated for us in three ways: “dwells”, “shelter” and “abiding”, and we are grateful.
This coming Lord’s Day our adult Bible study teachers will continue their walk through Ephesians during the Sunday School hour. They are at the end of chapter 4 where Paul gives some basic instructions concerning getting along with people. In the 10a service I am James 2:14-26 where James asks, “Can faith save him?” In the 6:30p service Pastor Rory is in 2 Timothy.
