Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 15 “Lord, who may abide in Your tabernacle? Who may dwell in Your holy hill? 2 He who walks uprightly, and works righteousness, and speaks the truth in his heart; 3 He who does not backbite with his tongue, nor does evil to his neighbor, nor does he take up a reproach against his friend; 4 In whose eyes a vile person is despised, But he honors those who fear the Lord; He who swears to his own hurt and does not change; 5 He who does not put out his money at usury, nor does he take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved.” The Scriptures plainly teach that salvation is by the grace of God. It is a gift. No one can say they earned their salvation. The Scriptures also teach that the work of grace will have an evident impact upon the way we live. Those who have received salvation work toward being like Jesus. I want to “abide in God’s tabernacle.” I want to live the life David describes.
We had a smooth business meeting on Sunday afternoon. We have added 4 new missionary families: Tim Smith, Caleb Wagner, John Laase, and Alexander Tingbani! Additionally, we increased our monthly support to Lloyd Peace and Phil Coolbaugh. I praise the Lord that we were able to do this. During fiscal 2021-2022 our general fund giving was within 1% of our budgeted need. Again, I praise the Lord for the faithfulness of God’s people. And for this fiscal year, Trinity Baptist School ended in the black! More good news.
We received a letter from Loyd and Athena Peace today. Their 3 oldest children will be attending college in the States this fall. The girls in Eau Claire and Jacob in Ames, IA. Pray for them to be able to get needed aviation fuel. It seems a drug cartel has bought up needed supplies.
Pray for a camp in Kyrgyzstan. The gospel has been presented this week. There are many Muslim children attending.
Pray for our own young people at camp this week. Pastor and 9 teens are at Camp Chetek. Pray for safety as they return home on Saturday. Pray for Hannah Struska who is on a missionary internship for the rest of the summer in Mexico.
Jean tells me that she is going home next Tuesday! Rejoice with her and pray for her continued strength.
Ken and Jean Rosenthal celebrated 70 years of marriage this week. God is so good.
Pray for salvation and conviction for those who are seeking. Pray for the Spirit’s drawing for friends and family we might meet this holiday.
My Uncle Dave has learned that he has a tumor in his esophagus. He has more tests coming. Pray for healing and a successful treatment.
Tonight we will be in 2 Kings 4. We read of 5 miracles God works through Elisha. Two women and their children figure prominently in 3 of these miracles. Because Charlie and the other teens are at Chetek, the remaining teens will be joining the adult study tonight.
Serve God with all you have. Embracing Truth, Pastor
