Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Proverbs 25:25 As cold water to a weary soul, so is good news from a far country. I thought of this verse this morning because I feel like this letter is going to be chatty.
Jean’s surgery went well on Monday. She was in ICU yet last evening when I spoke with her only because they had not yet moved her to a regular room. She has discomfort in a couple of toes but other than that is feeling well. They have her walking. She is in hopes to go home today or Thursday. Praise the Lord.
I have asked for prayer for Pastor Ron and Pat Tobin and the Tomah Baptist Church. I now have learned that 13 families in that church tested positive for COVID. All the members of all 13 families have recovered and the Tobins are back working. Praise the Lord.
The Murray side of our family met at Esterbrook Cemetery yesterday to lay to rest LeAnn’s cremains. It was a bittersweet time. We again had cause to reflect on the positive example and joy that LeAnn was to us and to many others. Pray for Lin’s siblings as they return home this week to Des Moines and Nevada. Praise the Lord.
The Christian Education Committee meets Saturday at 8:00 a.m. We will have a Men’s Meeting Sunday at 5:00 p.m. Trinity Baptist School staff will meet for orientation for the 2020-2021 school year next Monday through Wednesday. We are an active church with God’s work to do. Praise the Lord.
Tonight is Bible study. Charlie will finish Genesis 19. Carolyn will continue with her work with the children. Tony is teaching the teens. Good things happen on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. in the summer at TBC. Praise the Lord.
