Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family: My heart was over-flowing Sunday evening. (I know why Paul walked all night after a weekend’s ministry.) Sometimes preacher’s are drained after the Lord’s Day, but sometimes refreshing grace is abundantly more than can be contained in a soul. The day ended on a high note as more than 60 of us squeezed into the southeast classroom for a sweet time of singing and testimonies.
And Monday was awesome. Seven of us travelled to First Baptist, Rockford to hear 7 sermons. The theme paired dispensationalism and the church – a timely topic. I rejoice in the building of relationships and theology that took place in my own heart. One of the day’s highlights was listening to Dr. Ryan Martin preach – a TBS graduate. God is so good.
Two prayer requests tonight. Pray for Jeremy Shaeffer – he is driving tonight so as to spend a couple days with his dad and mom before he leaves for our mission trip on Saturday.
Also pray for Jan Martin’s sister and family. Judy’s husband Dan passed away this afternoon. Randy and Jan have in recently years had the privilege of hearing Dan’s testimony of his personal faith in Jesus Christ. They rest in knowing Dan is home with Jesus, but would covet your prayers for Judy and the extended family.
We continue our walk through the Bible examining the Kingdom of God tomorrow evening at 7p. We also have Bible studies for the children and teens at the same time.
