Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 84:10 For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
Those of you who have listened to me for a while know that this is a verse I claim as a passion of mine. I’d rather clean and fix and open and close at God’s House than be a bigwig someplace else. I know that I get to preach and minister in ways not everyone else does, but if I did not do those things, then I’d still rather be at church – the place where God is worshipped by His people.

Thank you to those who were part of the annual Congregational meeting on Sunday afternoon. I know it is not exactly the most fun thing we do, but it is important. I appreciate both the spirit and participation of this Congregation.

Three of us now plan to be at Men’s Prayer Breakfast this Saturday, July 1, at 8:00 a.m. If you’d would plan to join us, please let me know so i can have bacon ready!

Continue to pray for wisdom and healing for Kathy R and Mollie H. We rejoice that Donna B came through her heart surgery well. She was to come home on Sunday. Pray for her recovery. Pray for our mission trip. They leave a week from Saturday. Pray specifically that Jack’s passport come in on time. Lin is traveling to Iowa today to spend some time with her sister. Pray for her safety.

We mentioned on Sunday that our missionary, Carolyn, is not able to be with us this Sunday, July 2nd. Pastors Shaeffer and Charlie have decided that the New Members Class will meet. They have plans to walk through our church doctrinal statement. I will be in Jeremiah 30 on Wednesday evening and chapter 31 on Sunday morning. This section of Jeremiah is a very important contribution to our Eschatology. On Sunday morning I will be in the second half of Mark 8 – “Christ and the Cross-life.”

Pray for our country. One week from today our country will celebrate its 247th birthday. When you consider the history of the world, God has blessed the United States with an unusual quantity of peace, prosperity, and liberty. So much that we take these things for granted. May God preserve us so that we may serve Him freely.

Embracing Truth. Equipping Saints. Pastor
