Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 125:1-2 Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever. 2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds His people from this time forth and forever. I received an email this week from an organization saying they were changing their policy. I was irritated because it will change my schedule and plans. I don’t like change – unless, of course, I initiate it because it fits my agenda! In a world that will always change, believers rest in the permanence of our relationship with God. The Lord surrounds His people forever!
I have two missionary reports. First, Carolyn Price would like us to pray for Pastor Roberto Molino. He is a retired Bolivian pastor who was a special mentor and help to Carolyn when she first went to Bolivia 30 years ago. He is in the hospital fighting COVID. Praise God he is responding to some medication and his oxygen level has been rising in the past 24 hours. Pray that God might comfort His people by raising this good man up.
Then pray for Joel and Joanie Troester. We have prayed for their churches and their building projects for several years. We received a letter today that will be in Sunday’s bulletin. It gives us much to praise God for and much to pray about. Please pray for wisdom and security for them as they continue to navigate the building and property issues in Maputo, Mozambique.
I believe Dennis G. is done with this round of radiation treatments. Pray for his strength and healing.
Jean W. is going in for tests today that will require her to stay overnight. Then she has a heart surgery scheduled for August 10th. Pray that the tests go well, that she remains free of COVID, and that she does not have to stay quarantined until August 10th!
Pray for safety and God’s blessing upon our Men’s Retreat. We have 27 signed up to camp at Greenbush Group Campground Thursday afternoon through Saturday morning. Pray that the fellowship be Christ honoring and that some will be edified by this opportunity.
After our Bible School break, Charlie returns to his walk through Genesis at 7:00p Wednesday evening. Join us together as a family in the building or home on Facebook live.
Embracing Truth, Pastor
