Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, I rejoice in the full day of ministry and relationships that I was able to experience yesterday. Pastor Matt Groll’s church treated Lin and I like royalty. I pray we were half the blessing to them as that pastor and church were to us. Then, last evening we returned home to join over 40 to sing and fellowship in the back yard of the parsonage. Lin and I are both “emotionally tired” today.
I write you at this time with a very important prayer request. Note on the attachment with information sent from Julaine Appling of Wisconsin Family Action that a Fond du Lac City Councilperson intends to issue a proclamation at Wednesday evening’s City Council meeting declaring June to be LGBTQ Pride month in the city of Fond du Lac. I ask all of you to pray about this issue because it is an area that is plainly addressed in Scripture. I would also encourage you who live in the City of Fond du Lac to write to City Manager Joe Moore and the 7 members of the City Council to voice your concerns. If you are so led, I would also encourage some to join me at the City/County legislative room on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.
I wrote one email and then used the links on the City of Fond du Lac website to send my letter to the manager and all 7 councilpersons. I also have filled out a Public Participation sheet so that I may speak at the meeting. This can be downloaded from the City website or filled out at the meeting if you are there early.
Please pray that God and His Word might be honored in our community.
