Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, It’s kinda fun to write February 29th because we only get to do it every 4 years. I’m glad I don’t have to wait 4 years for God’s goodness to be apparent to me.
Pray for travel mercies today. Pastor Shaeffer is traveling with MBU to a tournament in Michigan. Also our student’s basketball team will be playing tonight at the Buck’s stadium at 8:45 p.m. Tomorrow, Amber is driving to Ankeny to see Levi play. Van and Patty are traveling to Ohio this weekend for the memorial service for Van’s dad.
Acts 29 – the young adults Bible study and fellowship – meets tomorrow, March 1st, at Brakers at 7:00 p.m. I have been repeatedly told that I am not invited to this group.
Men’s Prayer Breakfast is this Saturday, March 2nd, at 8:00 a.m. If you would like to join us and have not yet signed up, please let me know of your intentions.
Teens, 6th – 12th grades, are encouraged to come to Ledgeview Lanes to bowl at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 2nd. Dinner to follow at the C&B Leeds. Cost for this activity is $5. for bowling 3 games and dinner. What a deal! Contact Pastor Charlie if you have any questions.
On Sunday we continue tour two current adult Sunday School classes – Foundations for Christian Living and Acts of the Apostles. On Sunday morning we will be looking at the “so what” of the 2nd warnings in Hebrews 4. Both adult and children’s choirs will practice on Sunday afternoon at 5:00 p.m. In the Sunday evening service I will begin a walk through of the book of Hosea. It looks to be a busy and profitable day.
We have Lord’s Table this Sunday morning. Our benevolent offering this month will be for local benevolent needs. We have used some of this money in recent months to help a couple of local people.
Two weeks from tomorrow is our school’s biggest fundraiser – the Dave Shell Memorial Auction. Although you may go to biddingowl.com and bid ahead of time, silent auction bidding on location will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 15th. The live portion of the auction will begin at 7:00 p.m. We will be offering Gourmet Grilled Cheese selections/combos for those who would like to eat their dinner while at the action. For dessert there will be Parfait Shooters for sale. come for a fun evening and support our school.
