Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 84:5-7 “Blessed is the man whose strength is in You, whose heart is set on pilgrimage. 6 As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a spring; the rain also covers it with pools. 7 They go from strength to strength; Each one appears before God in Zion.” First, notice who is blessed – the one whose source of strength is God. Also this person’s heart is set on a spiritual journey. The ESV reads “in whose heart are the highways to Zion.” We would say these people are walking in a direction that takes them closer to Jesus. Baca means “weeping.” It can also be a tree that looks like it is weeping. This tree grows in a dessert. Here is this one, intent on God, who finds themself in a valley of despair or trouble. Do they give up? Do they just lay down and die? No! They make it a place of blessing, a place of refreshment. How? They go from their little strength to God’s strength with the end result of leaving that valley and knowing the presence of God. Are you in a valley of tears today? Find refreshment and strength in God and move on to Him.

We have two families hurting today because of the loss or expected loss of grandfathers. Nick R’s Grampa Stan has passed away. Nick has lived with him until recently. This is the great grandfather of our TBS student Casey. Then, Silas and Zeke W have learned that their grandfather Jake is expected to pass away soon. Pray for these young men and their families.

Linda M tells me that after a medical procedure last week that she feels the best she has felt in over a year. Praise God. Lin L is going through some doctoring as a follow up to last week’s kidney stones. Cecil and Pat are selling their place in Florida to consolidate here. We have had several visitors again. Pray for God to draw people to Himself and that we might be a tool in His work.

The 6th-12th grades of our school will be going to Calvary Baptist in Watertown this Friday to compete in the WACS Academic competition. Pray for safety, spiritual growth, and good learning.

On Saturday, March 9th from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. we are hosting at church a class by Lifeline First Aid Training. This will cover basic first aid, emergency response, and use of our AEDs. Because of our school, all our compensated staff are required to take this training. We are offering this to the church. If you are an usher, a nursery worker, or a teacher of youth and you would be interested in this training, please contact Beth ASAP. Lunch will be provided.

Don’t forget to set your clocks ahead and go to bed early on Saturday night! I look forward to the extended sunsets that Daylight Savings bring us.

Serve the Lord. Pray for God to send workers into His harvest. Pray for Jesus to return.

Embracing Truth. Equipping Saints.
