Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, I pray you had a wonderful and meaningful Christmas Day with those you love. We had a fairly quiet Christmas Day and were thankful for it!
On behalf of the Shaeffer and Leeds families, I want to thank you for the many generous gifts we received at this Christmas time. Some gave gifts to us through their offerings at the church. Many others gave us cards with gifts. All are appreciated. We know that our confidence is to be in God alone and we know that our true reward is an eternal one, but I assure you that your generosity to our families is a great encouragement to us and a physical confirmation of our spiritual service to this church. Thank you, thank you.
We had a full house here on Christmas Eve. Praise the Lord for the many who bring their family members to this unique service. Pray that the Word of God preached might impact hearts for eternity.
Prayer updates: Please continue to pray for healing from the car accident for Carlie Mayes’ family. Pray for healing from surgery for Kerrie Mayes and Joe Chiero. I believe Joe is going to have his second shoulder done today. Ross is home from the hospital. Continue to pray for strength for he and Carol. Sandy has gone from the hospital to Harbor Haven. They seemed to have controlled her internal bleeding. Gary was encouraged. Continue to pray for strength and healing for Gary and Sandy. And I’d like to add a personal unspoken request to your list. Pray for those traveling. Shaeffers will be going to and from Ohio this week. Charlie and Brittany will be coming back from Montana these next two days.
There will be a memorial service for our former missionary, Dick Siedschlag, this Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Pray for God to be honored as his family remembers God’s workings in their family’s life.
Sunday is Church Dinner Day! It’s the last week of our current Sunday School classes on parenting and on the book of Galatians. I am going to be talking about Wisdom about Money in the morning service and reading the amazing story about the Dagon the fish god worshipping the LORD during the devotions after church dinner.
Tuesday, December 31st, is Family Grub and Games Night. We will have a pot luck meal at 6:00 p.m. followed by table games. Bring a dish to pass, a favorite game, and plan on some good family fellowship.
Embracing Truth, Pastor
