Dear Trinity Baptist Church: “On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month” – that’s what Grandma Leeds used to say. Today we celebrate Veteran’s Day instead of the armistice of WWI. Trinity Baptist School had a program yesterday where we dedicated a Freedom Shrine and honored two of our student’s grandparents who were Veterans. I would encourage you to visit our school’s new display.
This week we have the privilege of hearing a master theologian and a great wordsmith. Dr. Doug McLachlan will be preaching 5 times over the next 3 days. He has titled the conference “Glorifying God in Our Hostile World.” In Sunday School at 8:45a he will talk about “The Conspiracy: The Universal Antipathy for Christ in the Cosmos” from Psalm 2. DuringSunday A.M. and P.M. he will bring “Glorifying God in Our Hostile World: A Canticle of Joy in a Crucible of Suffering” 1 Peter 1:1-5. Then on Monday Evening – “Glorifying God in Our Hostile World: Christ – The Prototypical Model of Persevering Christian Service” Philippians 2:1-11. This Bible Conference will close on Tuesday evening with “The Celebration and Adoration of God: The Highest Calling of the Body of Christ in a Hostile World” Romans 11:33-36.
I am preparing myself to be mentally and spiritually challenged. Do yourself a favor and give these times to the edification of your mind and the sanctification of your soul.
Pray for Kim Struska. Dale told me she has had a rough week. Embracing Truth,
Pastor
