Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, This morning in our staff devotions, Pastor Shaeffer read to us from John 6. He pointed out that John tells us it was close to Passover time when Jesus fed the 5,000 and that the mind of Christ was likely bent towards worship at the Passover even as He tended to the mundane physical needs of the crowd. Pastor encouraged us to remember the spiritual needs of our students even as we are overwhelmed with the needs of the moment in a busy week. It was a good reminder for this Monday.
I praise the Lord for a busy and fun weekend. I counted 42 at the “Cider Press and Chili Dump” at Carters on Saturday. And 53 at church dinner yesterday. Many of us had two busy days of fellowship.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, September 26th, is Senior Lunch and Bible Study Day. We encourage those over 55 who are able, to join us at noon at Rolling Meadows Restaurant. We order off the menu and after lunch have a Bible study. We will be in Colossians chapter 4 this month.
Kathy R tells us that she will have two surgeries next Wednesday and Thursday, October 4th and 5th. Pray that the removal of this tumor will be a great success and that her pain will be greatly reduced. Holly V is now home recovering from GBS. Darryl M will have should repair surgery this Thursday, September 28th.
We will not have Men’s Bible Study tomorrow, September 26th.
