Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 75:1 We give thanks to You, O God, we give thanks! For Your wondrous works declare that Your name is near.
What a delicious morning! I hope you are able to enjoy this day.
Continue to pray for Kathy R. She saw one specialist who said he was going to consult with others to think “outside of the box.” She sees another specialist out of state next week. Pray for Kathy and her family that they might be encouraged and that they might see Jesus through this fight. Pray for her healing. Others who need our prayer for healing: Van’s sister in law and Cathy T are receiving cancer treatments. My uncle Dave is going for some heart tests tomorrow. Donna B will have her heart valve repair surgery on the 23rd. Crystal’s mom and my step-mom Bertie both are still in pain from their falls/breaks.
Pray for those who are grieving. I’m especially thinking of the families of Carolyn’s sister Cindy. Her funeral service was on Thursday.
Pray for our TBC Mission Trip July 8-15 and VBS which is July 23-27.
Sunday is Father’s Day. I am thankful for the heritage that I have received from my Dad and my Grandfathers. May we each build on the good we have received, forget the lesser things, and press on to Christ.
The New Members Class will be talking about meetings/committees this Sunday. In the auditorium I will be teaching from Jeremiah 27. And in the morning service we will consider “The Unexpected Jesus” from the second half of Mark 7. Charlie is preaching this Sunday evening from the Psalms.
Senior Lunch and Bible Study is this Tuesday, June 20th. We are going to meet at noon at the Parsonage – Leeds’ home – for a picnic. We will provide table service, soda and water, brats, hamburgers, and condiments. You bring a dessert, hors d’oeuvre, or other fun side dish. I have some chairs, but if you have a favorite lawn chair, bring that too. We will pray at noon, don’t be late!
Rejoice for God is good!
