Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family,

Are you ever impatient with God? Ever have a conflict or an enemy requiring aid? Listen to David: Psalm 70 “Make haste, O God, to deliver me! Make haste to help me, O Lord! 2 Let them be ashamed and confounded who seek my life; Let them be turned back and confused who desire my hurt. 3 Let them be turned back because of their shame, who say, “Aha, aha!” 4 Let all those who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; and let those who love Your salvation say continually, “Let God be magnified!” 5 But I am poor and needy; Make haste to me, O God! You are my help and my deliverer; O Lord, do not delay. “Three times in this short psalm David basically says, “Hurry up, God!” God wants us to declare our neediness. He desires that we urgently need Him.

Pray for Carolyn O and her sister’s family. We learned Sunday morning that her sister Cindy had passed away Saturday evening. The Olson relatives will be making a trip to Iowa this week for a funeral service.

Also pray for Jeremy S mom’s brother-in-law. His dad’s sister passed away very suddenly a couple of weeks ago. When Jeremy was in Ohio for a graduation, they learned that the family is really hurting. Jeremy’s family will be traveling to Ohio for that memorial service the weekend of the 25th. We need to remember Paul’s admonition to “weep with those who weep.”

And “rejoice with those who rejoice.” Terry S is praising God for good healing following his back surgery.

I rejoice in another good Lord’s Day. I know vacation time is coming, but God has recently blessed us with good attendance and a great spirit. May Jesus be glorified in our worship.

Beth B will be flying home Wednesday. Sarah L is traveling to New England today and tomorrow.

We have Bible study on Wednesday evening for all ages. The adult study will be from Jeremiah 26.

Pray for God’s Word to be supreme in our walk. May our minds be fixed on Jesus.

Embracing Truth. Equipping Saints.

Pastor
