Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid? What an awesome contrast! What or who can compare to the LORD? Therefore, I will not fear.

Four of our high school boys and a few others from our church who homeschool are participating in a soccer tournament this weekend in Indiana. Pray for their safety and that they might please God in spirit and actions.

The scans and tests that Jeremy had on Tuesday have all come back negative. Praise God. Amber tells me that she and Jeremy think his current pain might be a modification of what he has fought in the past few years. Pray for strength and wisdom as they tackle this monster in his body.

I understand that Suzanne is struggling with leg pain. Pray for strength and wisdom as she doctors.

I had surgery yesterday to install a port that will aid in my chemo treatments. All went well. One more thing behind me! I begin chemo treatments on Monday morning here in Fond du Lac. This next week is a heavy week – 5 days – of chemo. Then just one day the following two weeks. Then, repeat the process two more times. 9 weeks total in my understanding. There are many things new and unknown in my immediate journey. Pray that I be wise and strong. Pray for healing, but more, pray that God be glorified in my opportunities. I will be taking “my office” with me to the cancer center. I’ll be able to read and keep up on much of my daily work from there. I expect to be curtailing some of my people contact after this weekend – not just because of COVID but because we are entering the heart of the flu and cold season at a time when my resistance ability is going to be limited. So if I don’t shake your hand or stand in the back to greet you, please don’t be offended. I don’t want to be reckless or unnecessarily worry others. I hope to continue many of my current duties as God will allow.

Attached is the Here a Little for the coming week. What does the Bible say about senior citizens and retirement?

Sunday is Church Dinner day! We have normal Sunday School classes and I am the afternoon preacher.

Embracing Truth, Pastor
