Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, First, Dan’s surgery went as expected. He came home from the hospital on Wednesday afternoon. Pray for  quick recovery.

Then, today was Grandparents Day at Trinity Baptist School. I counted 77 during dinner, but some targets were moving and I know more came for the program – so let’s say 85! The program was good and the fellowship was sweet.

At Grandparent’s Day, Pastor Shaeffer announced that TBS has been given $1,000 with the suggestion that it be used as a challenge for matching funds. The high school students of TBS have taken on this project and following Pastor’s Shaeffer’s theme for this school year have announced a 52 Day Nehemiah challenge beginning today. The goal is to encourage gifts to Patriot Boosters to match and exceed the $1,000 gift. 52 Days from today is December 1st. Pray with me that God might use this challenge and these days to build up Trinity Baptist School in order that we might keep on serving families who share our goals and purpose.

Sunday morning I am preaching on “Critics and Fools.” If you have accepted my Proverbs challenge, you likely have a pretty good idea of where this sermon is going! At 5:30p on Sunday, we have a Ministry Committee Meeting. Charlie is preaching from Hebrews 11 on Sunday evening.

This Wednesday is Awana Pie Auction! There will be no separate adult Bible study. The auction will begin at 7:00p. Bring a pie to sell and your checkbook to buy a pie!

Embracing Truth, Pastor
