Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 103:1-5 Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name! 2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: 3 Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, 4 Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, 5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. David tells his soul to not forget his benefits. Perhaps David made a list: my salvation, my godly heritage, my health, my family, my work, my country, my friends … Have you forgotten? What benefits have you received from God?
Van and Patty traveled to Ohio yesterday and Patty was able to spend 4 precious hours with her mom. Just an hour later, the assisted-living facility called Patty’s brother to say their mom had passed away. Last evening Van and Patty were “praising God and felling a great sense of loss.” We thank God for their safety in traveling and also that God kept Martha alive for Patty to spend that time with her mom. Pray for Van and Patty as I am sure there are many decisions to make and things to do. Pray also for the health of Van’s step-dad Tom.
Men’s Prayer Breakfast tomorrow at 8:00 a.m. Let me know if you are planning to be here.
Pray for Lin and I as we travel to and minister in Racine on Sunday. Sunday evening we will join for Sing N Smores in the parsonage back yard.
