Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 42:1 As the deer pants for the water brooks, so pants my soul for You, O God. Sometimes I get numb. I get to the point where my “carer” is broken and I just don’t care anymore – about anything, about anyone but me. I know what I need when I feel like this. I need God. Sometimes I need to be alone so that I can rest and fix my mind on God.
Praise God for another Souped Up! We made over 500 quarts of soup in about 10 hours time. I believe we will have several of 5 different varieties available for sale on Sunday. They are in the freezer today. Contact Beth B if you would like to reserve some ahead of Sunday.
Continue to pray for Dave R. Pray for physical and spiritual strength for him in days to come.
Sunday is Lord’s Table Day. After Lord’s Table we take an offering for something other than our church ministries. Our missionary to Ghana, Alexander Tingbani, is in need of a pickup truck. The roads on which he must travel for his ministry are destroying his family vehicle. Alexander holds seminars and helps church plants in remote areas. His mission board and sending church have approved his raising of $40,000 for a truck. Our Outreach Committee voted to send him $1,000 from our Mission Fund for this need. Also they approved us receiving an offering for this. This Sunday’s benevolence offering will be added to that $1,000 and sent to him along with his regular support from us.
There is no Men’s Prayer Breakfast tomorrow as I am attending the No Regrets conference.
We have 2 adults Sunday School classes on February 4th. I’m calling my sermon ‘What is Man?” from Hebrews 2. On Sunday evening we will have both adult and children’s choirs. Pastor Shaeffer is preaching this Sunday evening.
Pray for that our church might love and obey God’s Word.
