Friday, April 15 – Dear Trinity Baptist Church
It’s tax day – that day dreaded by many in America. I am glad our joy is not dependent upon the U.S. tax code! We have much better things to think about this day.
First, two exciting announcements: Curt Carter is a grandfather, again! Curt and Sue’s son Justin and wife Charity blessed the Carter clan with Curtis Wesley. He was born on Wednesday and was 7lb 1oz and 20 1/4 in long. Then, Justin’s classmate, our Paul Braker and his wife Amy, announced the arrival of their baby boy last evening. He is Russell Clark Braker and measured at 8 lbs 9 oz and 21 inches. Both moms and babies are doing well. Praise the Lord.
Kim Struska’s MRI this week revealed some activity in the area of her previous surgeries. They have discontinued her current chemo as being ineffective and have a meeting scheduled with the tumor board. Continue to beg God for healing, strength, and grace for Kim and her family.
Two of our men are having rotater cuff surgery this coming Wednesday – Roger Marsh and Bill Struska. Pray the doctors use great skill and that healing is quick.
I am anticipating a sweet day Sunday as we take time to recognize Jeremy Shaeffer’s life and heart of service in a service of Ordination. I look forward to this unique opportunity in the life of Trinity Baptist Church.
Enjoy the Sonshine – and the sunshine too.
Embracing Truth,
Pastor
