Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family: First, I want to rejoice with you for the great success of Souped Up! We exceeded last year’s sales. In spite of the ice, we had a steady flow of hungry people. Most of our sales were “take aways,” and we expected that. But many came down to eat both at lunch and dinner time. We had good help. This was our first Souped Up! in this building and it worked out very well. Once again we learned some things and are looking forward to doing it again the first Thursday of February 2020!
Thank you to those who donated soup (Paul Westra) and the many great desserts. The dessert containers are washed and on the shelving in the entry. Pick them up tomorrow. And a big thanks to all who labored with me throughout the day. You know who you are. It would be impossible to put this together without such a great team.
There will be some leftover soup and desserts available for purchase after church tomorrow.
Tomorrow morning we return to the Jesus’ Story series. We are going to look in on a conversation between Jesus and Nicodemus. It’s a familiar story, but don’t let that keep you from a blessing!
Tomorrow evening, Pastor Shaeffer is our preacher. He is preaching through Colossians. The youth have reflections tomorrow evening after church.
Tomorrow is the due date for Team Mexico applications. If you have misplaced yours and are planning to come, pick one up tomorrow and get it to Pastor Shaeffer or me.
Stay warm in your heart. Know that the LORD, He is God. Everything we are and have is by God’s good grace.
Embracing Truth, Pastor
