Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family: Awana begins tonight! Here comes one of our busiest and most productive ministry opportunities. Come ready to work. Pray that God’s Holy Spirit might teach us and lead children to accepting Jesus.

At the parsonage there will be an adult Bible study on 1 & 2 Timothy taught by Van. During the Awana year, we begin that study at 6:45p and end it before 8:00p so as to help facilitate Awana traffic.

Saturday at 8a is Men’s Prayer Breakfast. We have had a bit of a break because of Men’s Retreat and vacations. It’s time to recommit to spending time with other men and in prayer. There’s a sign up list in the auditorium, but if you have not signed up and won’t be here tonight, let me know by Friday noon so I can prepare.

Randy and Jan have sold their house! And just in time, they are needed at Family Life ASAP. They are needing to move some larger stuff – no appliances – into a storage unit. If you can help them this Saturday morning, let Randy know.

George Matzko, the Science Ambassador from Bob Jones University, will be our speaker on Sunday, September 8th. In Sunday School his title is “Design in Nature.” In the morning service his sermon will be “The Curse: Turning Creation into Vanity.” On Sunday evening he will talk about “Comets: Celestial Snowballs that Glorify God.” He will also be ministering at TBS on Monday and Tuesday mornings.

Dan has learned that his cancer has not spread. A surgery has been scheduled. Pray for God’s Word to be spoken with clarity both tonight and on the Lord’s Day. Pray for those who have walked away from the faith they were taught. Pray that our church be one even as God is One.
