Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, In my study of Acts for this coming week’s Sunday School I come to 1:14 where I read “These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication.” They were in unity. And they prayed. These two things ought to describe Trinity Baptist Church every day. Unity that brings joy and strength. Prayer that begs God to show Himself strong among us.

David O tells me that Carolyn came through her surgery well and is in recovery. Pray for her healing and strengthening. It was good to see Kathy R in church! Pray for her healing from surgery and strength so she may begin needed chemo treatments.

Jean W is safely in AZ. Cecil and Pat are returning to FL. Russ will be leaving for TX soon. I don’t understand why these folks want to leave us for the next few weeks!

We did not have school today. Most of the day I questioned the wisdom of the public school, but it’s really coming down now (4:00 p.m.) I appreciated the time in my office. I sometimes feel like I have a mountain to move. If you pray for me, pray that I might use the time and strength God has given me wisely and for His glory.

After our two week break, we resume Awana Clubs and Wednesday Bible study tomorrow evening, January 10, 2024. As we enter our second half of the Awana Club year, pray for souls to be saved and children to grow in grace and knowledge of God’s Word.

We have two new students this week at Trinity Baptist School. Pray for teachers, the new students, and our current student body as adjustments are made. Pray that our staff and student body be godly. We have chapel tomorrow. Darryl will be preaching to the elementary and I to the high school.

A new Ladies’ Bible study begins tomorrow morning, January 10th, at the Brakers home at 9:30 a.m. Speak with Amber or Beth if you have any questions.

I talked about a lot at the Congregation’s Quarterly meeting this past Sunday evening. If you did not pick up an agenda, there are still some on the MOT. We have an Outreach Committee meeting this coming Sunday evening at 5:00 p.m. I’ll send out an agenda to members later in the week.

Read your Bible. It’s the only way you will know God – through God’s Word.

Embracing Truth. Equipping Saints.
