Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, This morning the preacher at Calvary Baptist Church in Rapid City, SD spoke on the idolatry, ignorance, and insolence of Jonah from Jonah 4:1-3. I was encouraged to hear good preaching and challenged as I considered the likelihood of my idolatry, ignorance, and insolence. Because we are in Mountain Time, we listened to all of Darryl’s Drama of Job and the introduction of Jeremy’s sermon from Luke before we headed off to church here.
Kathy tells me she and Dave are spending July “up north.” She says they miss our church. Her port (from chemo) is popping out and needs attention. Her recent scan reveals a spot on her lungs that they continue to watch but think is benign. Dave passed out and they needed to go to ER. That’s the short version. So pray for Dave and Kathy’s health.
The Brakers are traveling out to SD tonight and Zeke’s family is traveling down from Great Falls tomorrow. Pray for safety for them.
Pastor Shaeffer will lead the adult study this Wednesday evening, July 13th at 7:00 p.m. There will be no 6:00 a.m. Men’s Bible study this Tuesday. Next week we will pick up at 1 Corinthians 14.
The teens are attending a Dock Spider’s game on Friday. First pitch is 6:35 p.m. See Pastor Charlie for ticket info. Our Senior Bible study returns to Rolling Meadows on Tuesday, July 19th. We will resume our study in the book Colossians. We order off the the menu at noon. If you are over 50, come join us!
Pray for the church in Ukraine. Pray for rain for Fond du Lac! Pray for a spirit of repentance and revival in our church. Pray for young people to be saved and challenged during Sailing with Jesus – our VBS July 24th-27th.
