Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family: Are you still alive? I see thirty degree temps in our near-ahead forecast! This last deep freeze of winter has an ending!

Yesterday afternoon I was asked about the “Here a Little” half page that is normally in the bulletin. It is something I often write on Monday afternoons. Last week I was on a school field trip, so it didn’t happen. And as last week moved forward, I forgot about it.

I appreciated the fact that someone asked! I’m glad to know it was missed – that someone uses it. My purpose in writing “Here a Little” is to give you a short touch with the Scriptures during the week and a reminder to pray for our church. I get the name “Here a Little” from a line in Isaiah where he is accused of teaching the people a little bit here and a little bit there. Scoffing snobs in Isaiah’s day ridiculed his methods. I believe Isaiah’s methods of teaching the Word of God continually a little bit at a time ought to be the pattern we follow as a church. No one learns a great body of truth in an instant. We all need to be in God’s Word a little bit again and again. So whether you use “Here a Little” daily or all at once during the week or not at all, I encourage you to be in God’s Word between now and the coming Lord’s Day.
