Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family,

Psalm 110:1 The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.” 2 The Lord shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies! One thousand years before the birth of Jesus, David makes this prophecy concerning his Son, the Messiah. Christ will one day rule and His enemies will be His footstool! Oh, glorious day.

I rejoice in the good day of ministry yesterday at Trinity Baptist. Darryl was dressed in the garb of a traditional Jew as he taught on prayer. He will finish his Survey of Old Testament Theology series on Sunday, April 27th. I preached on the exaltation of Jesus as King both on Palm Sunday and on a wonderful day still to come.

Tomorrow is Senior Lunch! We meet at Rolling Meadows at noon to order off the menu. After lunch we will being a walk through the Songs of Ascents – the Pilgrim Psalms. Tomorrow we will be in Psalm 120.

We only have 3 Awana nights left. Make sure your clubbers have finished their books.

Our elementary is going to Green Bay to participate in Elementary WACS academic competition this Thursday. Pray for Amber, Sarah, and our students – their safety and their excellence in competition.

This Sunday, Easter, April 20th we will have Lord’s Table during a Passion Service at 8:45 a.m. Then we will celebrate the Resurrection at 10:00 a.m. Our choir will be ministering to us in both services. We will have no Sunday evening service on Easter.

Last evening we had our Quarterly Congregational meeting. We heard a report from the Building/Grounds Committee recommending the church move forward on two major projects. The parsonage needs to be re-shingled and the north wall of the church (my office, boys’ bathroom, and the hallway) needs to be rebuilt. The total cost of these two projects is expected to be under $30,000. I rejoice that God has provided both personnel and funds to accomplish these projects. Pray for wisdom and God’s care as we move forward.

Pray for the persecuted church throughout the world. Pray for peace. Pray for the advancement of the gospel. Pray that we, as a Congregation, grow in our knowledge and imitation of Jesus Christ.

Embracing Truth. Equipping Saints.

Pastor
