Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 7:11-13 “God is a just judge, and God is angry with the wicked every day. 2 If he does not turn back, He will sharpen His sword; He bends His bow and makes it ready. 13 He also prepares for Himself instruments of death; He makes His arrows into fiery shafts.” We often want to speak of God’s love. We are are hesitant to speak of His anger. Sin makes God angry. We should take comfort in the knowledge that God is a just judge.

We had a wonderful Awana Awards night this past Wednesday. The Taco Bar was awesome. (A lot of people went back for seconds.) Most of the clubbers received book awards. And Pastor Shaeffer brought us a good challenge concerning teaching our children a Biblical worldviews. Congratulations to Tony and Beth for a successful Awana year and a great evening.

We are in a transitional time of year in the ministries of Trinity Baptist Church. Next Wednesday, May 8, we begin our summer Wednesday Bible studies at 7:00 p.m. We all get a little more time to digest our supper! I will be picking up my walk through the book of Acts with the adults in the auditorium. Pastor Charlie will be leading those going into 6th grade through high school. Hannah S and Sadie H are going to be teaching preschool through going into 5th grade. Join us for a great midweek reset – Bible study and prayer.

Our adult Sunday School is also changing. Curt O and Ben H are going to present Attributes of God at 8:45 a.m. on Sunday mornings. As a guide they are using the work of A.W. Tozer. These topical lessons will strengthen your understanding of God. May we all learn to love Him more.

Our young people don’t change Sunday School classes until September. We do continue to have Sunday School through the summer months. Bring your family to Sunday School. It’s a great way to learn God’s Word.

Tonight, May 3rd, is Acts 29. I saw a fb add that read “Come for the Bible Study, stay for the fellowship.” All those out of high school who still consider themselves “young” are welcome at the Brakers home at 7:00 p.m.

Tomorrow, May 4th is Men’s Prayer Breakfast. We eat at 8:00 a.m. and then take prayer requests. We are done praying by 9:30 a.m. If you have not signed up and would like to join us, contact me so I am ready with the food.

This Sunday morning we will examine the 4th Warning found in Hebrews. Come learn of our God.

Pray for our country. Pray for those who are in the way of war. Pray for workers in God’s harvest. Pray for Jesus to return.

Embracing Truth. Equipping Saints.

Pastor
