Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 44:1-3 “We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, the deeds You did in their days, in days of old:
2 You drove out the nations with Your hand, but them You planted; You afflicted the peoples, and cast them out. 3 For they did not gain possession of the land by their own sword, nor did their own arm save them; but it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance, because You favored them.” The goodness of God to us is not because of us!
Pastor Shaeffer is out of surgery. They took more from his back and also removed one lymph node. He will know more by the end of the week after testing. Pray for his healing. This is going to be painful. He expects to be home this afternoon.
I rejoice in the great evening of fellowship we had Sunday evening. Weston counted 61 of us. I especially enjoyed the participation of the children.
Bible studies are at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday nights through the end of August. We have something for all ages. Join us!
This coming Sunday at 5:00 p.m. we will have a Men’s Meeting that will be preparatory for the Congregation Meeting on the 30th. I encourage all men of the church over 18 years old to join us.
