Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Have you ever felt that you were at the end of your rope? Listen to this prayer: Psalm 102:1-7 Hear my prayer, O Lord, and let my cry come to You. 2 Do not hide Your face from me in the day of my trouble; incline Your ear to me; in the day that I call, answer me speedily. 3 For my days are consumed like smoke, and my bones are burned like a hearth. 4 My heart is stricken and withered like grass, so that I forget to eat my bread. 5 Because of the sound of my groaning my bones cling to my skin. 6 I am like a pelican of the wilderness; I am like an owl of the desert. 7 I lie awake, and am like a sparrow alone on the housetop. When you are at the end, turn to God. Others have felt this way before you. God wants to hear our cries.
I just visited with Janet R. She is going to be 87 in November. She loves our church and prays for us. Pray also for Bill L. He has not been able to be at church for the past few weeks. He is in the hospital today fighting an infection. Pray for wisdom and strength for he and his family. Pray for my uncle Dave. He expects surgery in a few weeks to remove his esophagus. Continue to pray for strength and healing for Jean and Patsy.
We did not get a Men’s Prayer Breakfast sign up out this month. This Saturday is the first week of the month. If you are planning to come to breakfast on Saturday, October 1st at 8:00 a.m., please contact me so I can plan.
Check out the videos Pastor Shaeffer posted on the school’s fb page about his night on the roof. He says we have a community of owls that hunt our creek through the night.
Tomorrow and Friday there is no school at TBS. The staff is going to Christpond Retreat Center for a teacher’s enrichment day. Pray that our time is meaningful and beneficial.
Tonight is Awana and Bible study. Pray for one another.
