Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Does our spiritual life depend upon our treatment of others? Do my relationships in the community have an impact upon my relationship with God? Let this psalm influence your thinking. Psalm 41:1-3 Blessed is he who considers the poor; The Lord will deliver him in time of trouble. 2 The Lord will preserve him and keep him alive, and he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies. 3 The Lord will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed.
The pastors and our wives had a safe trip to Holmen, WI and back. We met with leaders from about 50 other churches from around the state. Representatives from several para-church organizations were also present. We were challenged in our thinking and greatly enjoyed the fellowship.
I learned today from Caleb and Kaylie V that their mom is coming home on Friday! This is months ahead of what could have been expected. They said it still takes her a long time to eat and she has a lot of work and therapy ahead of her. Praise the Lord!
Darryl M and Kathy R both have pre-op appointments this week. Darry is have repairs done to the shoulder that has not been replaced. Kathy is have the tumor removed that is giving her so much pain. Pray for both of them as they look forward to surgeries in the next week or so. Continue to pray for pain relief and a miracle of healing for Kathy. Jean W had some shots in her back that seem to be helping with her pain.
Tomorrow, Trinity Baptist School will be serving at the Pork Fest of Kiwanis. This raises funds for our school. Pray that we are safe and have a good testimony.
We have a fun family activity this Saturday. The Carters have once again invited us to their driveway for a Cider Pressing and Chili Dump. Bring lawn chairs, enough chili for your family to combine with all the others, and a dessert or chili appropriate side dish. If you need the address, email me. The fun begins at noon and ends at sundown. If you’d like to take cider home, bring containers and apples. It is suggested that 5 lbs makes a gallon of fresh cider.
And this Sunday is Church Dinner Day! The last Sunday of September is already here!
We are looking for both customers and workers for the TBS 2nd annual Dutch Apple Pie sale. The work days are Thursday – Saturday, September 28-30th. The pies are $15 each and are available on the 29th and 30th. They are frozen and keep well. I had part of one just last month that my step-mom had purchased last year. It was delicious. You won’t regret it if you fill your freezer.
Enjoy life and see good days. God is sufficient for all your needs. Pray for our country. Pray that our church be always faithful in Word and walk.
